Vegan Fine Foods Cafe and Market
Defiantly Dairy-Free! The sign says everything you need to know about the intense Vegan attitude of the people working here. Spoiler alert: I love this place! I found Vegan Fine Foods™ with a Google Maps search. I’m in Broward County visiting my mom for her 99th birthday. I’ve been seriously Vegan hesitant in this home of fruits and veggies. It seems odd but finding Vegan dishes is hard here and I’m done with salads, bagels, fries and hoping the local Thai joint doesn’t use fish oil in their excellent veggie panang curry. Next, I plan to sample some Jamaican Vegan dishes but that will be another story. I walked in to find a…

How to Go Vegan
A great article dropped at The Guardian today. The 14 things you need to know before you go vegan. “…But if you are a lifelong meat-eater, it is hard to know where to start. We asked some leading vegans for their advice for adults who want to make the transition.” It’s a great read to share here

Panang Curry
Made this awesome vegan curry from the recipe I got over at Cookie and Kate. The photo, not the best, is from lunch today after two days of mellowing in the fridge. Thai is always better after time in the fridge.

Pretzels! Yum
Made these awesome, vegan pretzels from Sally’s recipe, minus the butter. It’s the first time I’ve made pretzels and I’m more than happy with the results. My kitchen was a floured disaster but cleanup was easy. My only regret is I should have left them in the oven for another minute or two but they are fully cooked and delicious. Please visit Sally’s Baking Addiction for the recipe

Chocolate Protein Powder Review
SO many of you enjoyed our Vegan Vanilla Protein Powder Review that we decided it was due time to put chocolate protein powders to the test! As with the vanilla powders, we did a formal, side-by-side review of some of the most popular vegan protein powders on the market. We also added in some lesser known, innovative brands. Our goal was to see which protein powders delivered on taste and nutrition and which ones weren’t worth the hype, saving you the time and money of doing the research yourself! Rainbow Rice
Forget cars, trains, and fire engines, I’ve found the latest craft idea that will keep my 2 year old entertained for, well, minutes but he’s 2! That is a solid “I’m-so-entertained-for-a-2 year-old” goal! Over the last few months, I have purchased some uncooked rice and pasta and put them into separate bins. I will even throw in some insect toys, shovels, funnels, you name it, and we’ll play in those bins multiple times during the day–they are such a big hit with him.* So much so that I decided to make this Rainbow Rice sensory bin in honor of all things rainbow colored, not to mention perfect for St. Patrick’s Day. *And yes,…

Mini Blueberry Muffins (Toddler Approved)
Bursting with blueberries and lightly sweetened, these Mini Blueberry Muffins will not only satisfy your toddler’s snack attack moments, but will also give you an energy boost as you chase them around the house. *Dinosaurs not included in this mini blueberry muffins recipe. But, as a warning, if you bake them, they will come. I have oat flour listed here as the main flour for these muffins but if you do not have oat flour, nor do you want to buy an entire bag full, you can use whole wheat, white flour, or even your favorite gluten free flour mix. This is a totally substitutable recipe! I’m not even kidding when I say…
