Grilled Silver Queen Corn
Behold the Queen, Silver Queen
Corn is so easy to grill there really is no need for a detailed recipe, many of which say to remove the silk before grilling.
Ingredients
- Fresh Silver Queen Corn
Instructions
- Soak covered with cold water for 15 minutes
- Towel dry
- Place on medium grill for 15 minutes, turning frequently
- Peel back the burnt husks and enjoy with your favorite butterĀ substitute and salt
Notes
A 1979 Washington Post article tells the history of Silver Queen "The corn was developed in the early 1960s by Frank Blankenburg, former director of sweet corn research for Rogers Brothers Seed Co. of Idaho Falls, Idaho."
We found some stainless corn holders. Trying to use less plastic anywhere we can.
